High tea at Shangri-La

About a month ago we celebrated YL's birthday at Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. We wanted something different from the usual fine dine, surprise party, group dinner, so we decided to have a High Tea celebration instead!
We kept getting carried away chatting about everything under the sun, and we had to keep reminding each other to order first, THEN talk. There were 5 of us and we decided on a Malaysian set and 2 English sets. Each set came with either a pot of tea or a coffee.

Sugar sticks!
English on the left, Malaysian on the right
The scones and little sandwiches were good but the macarons were a bit meh :/ I am picky when it comes to macarons and so far the best I have tasted in KL are from KL Hilton.

Pretty maids all in a row..
In the end we had too much food leftover, we should really learn how to control ourselves. No more over ordering! High tea at Lobby Lounge is actually pretty good, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who's up for some tea.

After that we headed over to Pavilion for a little shopping, but not before we checked out Sno. They blend frozen yoghurt with various toppings- you can make your own combo or just pick from their list! All orders are put through via an iPad, they have up to 3 (or was it 4?) iPads built into their counters.
How cool!
YUMMEH!
Pictures at Sno are taken from Jagi's blog. We each had one and it was pretty yummy and filling- I had an original froyo blended with twix and honey.

My look for that day was very simple, my highlight was actually a necklace my sister got me.
no lippie..
with lippie..
My contacts look a little too large for me and in some pictures it is as if my eyes can't focus. What do you think? Chuck em or keep em? Also, I am trying to grow my brows out so I can reshape them like this blogger, Nic. And yes, I am aware that one side has an arch and one doesn't. But I swear it isn't that obvious in person.

It's Friday already and I can't believe it! 5 more Saturdays and I will be back in Melbourne for my yearly pilgrimage! So much to do and see.. and EAT :D

I like to SPOON

Yes, I do.

At SPOON, Mid Valley, just next to Delicious. I enjoyed it so much I had two serves!

The shop has been open for almost two weeks but I finallllllly had my fix last night after work.

Testing out the flavours available- Original, Raspberry and Green Tea, while the sisters discuss how they plan to make me their guinea pig for new flavors. Har har :D I would happily oblige.

They have Premium toppings such as chocolate caviar, brownie bits and many more..
My fave mix of the moment? Original froyo with their Signature granola and Oreo bits. YinYen makes the granola almost on the daily and she's a real good cook! I know cause I used to gobble up everything she made when I lived with YC in Melb. Yumm.

The granola is a hit with everyone, I had to stop Meimei from attacking (from my second serve) and after that, I even went and did a "could I please have some more.." at YC for more granola to finish my yoghurt. Shameless, i know.
SPOON kicks TuttiFruitti's ass anytime. I used to frequent TF quite a bit and tastewise, its totally different. TF is 'icy' where I can feel the frozen water bits in their froyo but with SPOON, its smooth spooning ALL the way! So SPOON wins in terms of taste, texture and toppings.

SPOON even has a menu for you fickle peeps who can't decide on which toppings you want.
A bit more expensive than TF buy hey, you get what you pay for, right?

Good stuff! Now if only they opened one closer to home :D

I am rarely at Mid Valley or Gardens but it yesterday was the first day of SALE where I work and all of us office robots have to all help out on the selling floor. Well it is a nice break from sitting on my ass working on schedules, photoshoots, modelshoots, casting, fashion meetings, reading mags, looking at advertisements, production of materials.. Okay who am I kidding, my job is pretty good (: but still it's a nice change- albeit a little boring when it's quiet.
I get to dress up/down at work and I dont mean the typical formal skirt suits where you only rotate the collared shirt daily with neat hair. Here's what I wore:
Leopard top: Supre
Bodycon skirt: F21
Stirrup leggings: DDH
Heart ring: Diva
Suhali double leather bracelet: Louis Vuitton

SALE is on every.friggin.where.I.turn. How do I save for my trips?!??
Bag? Trip? Bag? Trip? Make-Up?

Grrr...

Feed Me!

Once I start, I can't stop.

Kellogg's LCMs Split Stix in Yoghurty

Used to pick them up in bulk from Safeway(now renamed Woolies?) and quickly rush home to break open a pack.

I can eat a whole box in one sitting. Disgusting, I know. Then I'd feel too sickly sweet and lay off it for a week or so then get right back to my routine.

Sooooo addictive! They come in many flavors but my faves are the pictured Yoghurt and the Strawberry. Available at most supermarkets. Yum!

I am eating my 3rd bar as I type with one hand.. SMH

Feed me!

A knockoff of the much loved Mister Donut from Japan but it's almost as good!

Don't let it's looks deceive you- it may look like a normal doughnut but it's not!

Chewy, yummy, sweet balls of dough. Yes, chewy!

I had the Original- milky sweet icing dusted. Gosh I want one now.

They have quite a few flavors too. I tasted my first Mister Donut in Taiwan and I fell in love!

QQ Rings at Jusco supermarket, One Utama.

Awesome! Everyone should go try!

Update: my sis bought a whole box! All gone in 5 mins- didnt even hve time for a pic.
