An Exceptional week

I am so thankful and grateful for all the experiences that have been given to me. Last week was exceptional, I received a gift every day from Wednesday onwards. Two were belated birthday gifts and one is actually from myself to mark an achievement. I really really love everything which I have received!

I've been looking for a small sling, but never came across one which I liked or was willing to pay an arm for. This Longchamp sling is a tan leather and fits all my essentials. Perfect, really!

I used to be a Thomas Sabo girl, but after collecting all the charms I liked, my interest just stopped there. Now I have a new one to customise from Pandora! Simple and chic, I can even wear this on its own.

The Pandora boxes were gifted back to back. When I received the second box a day later, I was crossing my fingers that they wouldn't be the same item! These Cherry Blossom earrings are so pretty and dainty, plus I love the meaning behind this flower. 

My pearl collection grows each year, and each piece has been a gift so far. This is a beautiful classic piece which I will definitely treasure for years to come. The jeweller from Imayo, Isetan KLCC, mentioned he just brought this batch of pearls back from Tokyo just a few weeks back. This is set with 3 little diamonds on the dangle and the chain is adjustable so I can wear it long or very short/choker style- ingenious! 

And lastly, this beautiful leather bag from Gucci in a champagne colour with light gold hardware. I have not seen this colour on another bag aside from a Chanel jumbo lambskin and was super excited when I got this. The chains on the Soho Shoulder Bag can be pulled to one side to lengthen/shorten and carried 2 ways. Perfection!

Thank you all so so much for the beautiful gifts, words can not describe how lucky and blessed I feel to be showered with such material gifts and love.

The value of a gift is not measured by the price tag on it, but by the thoughts and consideration which were put into the gift selection..

Feeling extra loved this month, I received many birthday wishes and heartfelt gifts..

The lunar new year is also just around the corner *3 days to be exact!!!* and whilst it is customary to have a complete set of garments (inner, outer and shoes), I only have shoes and inner wear.

Traditionally people used to get new clothes for the first day of the lunar calender (some are more extreme and do the whole 15 days) because that was one of the rare times (if not the only time) that they would get new clothes.. but these days I am shopping whenever I feel like it, so much so, that it doesn't carry a significance for me anymore.

I am happy recycling whatever I have in my wardrobe rather than "force-buying" for the new year.

SHOES! I love ballet flats, even more so when they come with a comfortable heel. Got them in multiple colours from ZARA black & gold, and H&M nude.

Comfortable, and great for work or play. Will see how durable these are!

Christmas 2013

There are many things that money can buy, but the most important and essential things in life can never be bought. Feeling thankful and blessed.

Everything in my life in on point, and while I've had rough patches earlier this year.. alls well, ends well. Time will indeed bring to light everything. 

My bond now with the people who I love and care for is stronger than ever, and I say this with great happiness. 

Not everyone is genuinely happy with life and appreciates all that is being offered in life, and that is quite a shame. For we will only be at this place and in this lifetime once, so why not fill your mind with positive and encouraging thoughts instead.

"One who speaks ill of others to you, will speak ill of you."

I can't change the past, but what I do in the present and future is still within my control.

I have 3 Acca Kappa brushes, and this Protection brush is my 4th! They all have different purposes and I really love them. There is one more on my wishlist before my collection is complete!

ZARA travel wallet, Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb and Kerastase Hair Masque. All of which I love and are things I would actually use regularly.

A week late, but wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and an awesome (upcoming) new year!

Date Night

It has been a while!! Sometimes I imagine my life if I still lived in a foreign country (Melbourne mostly) and how it would be like; working and living with JagiBOY. To have more time for myself, for us and to do the things I like. 

When I was living abroad, I used to commute daily; train-tram-walk. I really enjoyed it because it gave me more time to put on makeup, get dressed, read, daydream and plan out the day. Public transportation is relatively clean, on time and safe; roads have proper lanes for pedestrians to cross and pavements are safe for walking (in heels). 

Back in Kuala Lumpur, none of these options are viable. People drive everywhere- public transportation is only an option if you don't drive/live extremely close to a station. Trains here are generally dirty, littered with pickpockets, oh and people shove you to get in/out of the train (without letting people off first!). Pavements are uneven, there are holes and chips- not safe for heels at all. 

So I drive- an hour (each way) to get to work and back; I have to endure the crazy heavy traffic to get into the city centre everyday. On weekends, my home is only 15-20 minutes from my workplace, so you can imagine my frustration. During the rainy season, it gets worse; once it took me 2 hours to get home. There is only so much I can do in the car: sing, play games on my phone (Triple Town!!!), sing some more.

I miss commuting to and fro using the train, trams and walking. Convenience is something I expect a city to offer, and I miss it terribly! 

Convenience >> time saved >> more time to spend with loved ones i.e more Date Nights!!

The replacements I speak of? Swapping Darphin for Aesop, and SK-II for Hada Labo Retinol lotion.

I have started using the Hada Labo lotion for about 5 days now and I must say that my skin hasn't felt this soft in a long time. Will wait for a month before I do a review.

By the way, did anyone else receive this? (looks at Jargs)

I know its definitely not about their Spring/Summer launch.. Its so intriguing! Or maybe its just to lure me into Chanel to buy something. But I would have willingly walked in anyway :/ Haha. Should I make an appointment? Hmmn.

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii~!

My trip in Melb has been awesome so far, all I have been doing is eating, shopping, taking long walks and revisiting places I used to hang out. I was even at my old University today.

This time around my visit was less hectic, I had no itinerary- I just woke up when I felt like it and went wherever I felt like. The last trip I made sure we ate at different restaurants and covered my fave spots, but this trip I've eaten at Mart 130 twice and I feel like having breakfast there tomorrow.

Such a different vibe this time around. I am enjoying every minute of it.. Cold weather and all. Will be back on Sunday!

A black WII!! OMG! So excited! Ive been lemming for one since they came out YEARS AGO but I thought it was a passing fad so I refrained.

Until today! My sister's bf, Roy, informed me that Big W was having a great deal on (AUD 188!!!) but when we checked it out in-stores they were going for the usual AUD 298 for the black set. Roy was so nice to check with the SA and true enough, they had the deal advertised but just didn't display it! (Wii party, my dear friends?? :D)

So excited I'm going to test out the set in a while, I didn't get additional controllers and other accessories because it would be cheaper back in KL. There is a catch to this deal I scored though, but I will reveal it when I return to KL. No, my set isn't a display unit, defective or anything like that- it's just something between my Sis, Roy and I :D

So yeah people if you are in Australia, and are looking to buy a Nintendo Wii, check out Big W!

Note: Roy just updated me that Wii 2 may be out next year, but it's okay it's still a STEAL to me!

Quickie

Just a short one before I snuggle into bed. The last two weeks (and upcoming) have been hectic for me, and I find myself with so little time to really unwind and take deep breaths.

My social and work calendar has been so packed, I haven't even started packing for my trip. (WHICH IS NEXT WEEK!! Omg!!) I usually start packing AT LEAST a month before I fly. Slowly adding and removing articles of clothing, shoes, and what not until I am completely satisfied with my selections.

Right now my luggage has stuff in it but none belong to me! They are for my sister and some friends. Because of my packed schedule, and me realizing I dont have much time for myself, I have become cranky and highly irritable for the past week.

JagiBOY knew how much (or rather how little) time I had to do my own things, he even agreed to let me celebrate his bday 2 weeks early. I honestly couldn't find time to throw him a party closer to his birthday. He's such a dear (: He also knew I've had a rough week and cheered me up with a little luxury and laughter..

I also did a mini haul earlier tonight at SASA, two Kao Liese bubble dyes and a Sexy Girl set. I have just Liese-d my hair, and yes I used 2 bottles this time as my hair is getting very long and used the remainder on JagiBOY. He looks hot! Haha. After trying Marshmallow Brown and Ash Brown, I have to say I love Chiffon Beige the best. Comparison in my next few posts hopefully!

I wish I knew how to make better use of my time. It's not that i haven't sat down and thought about where I've wasted time but I have, and I honestly dont know to stretch it out.

Okay my quickie didn't turn out to be so quick afterall. I'm off to bed now, early seminar tomorrow till 5pm and then off to run some errands before meeting up with friends for dessert/second round dinner. I think I need to start taking Multivitamins.

A Crabtree & Evelyn hamper! Thank you, my mother loves it and I am sure my father would too when he sees it tomorrow morning. Knowing my parents, they would probably gobble everything up while I am at work. Food is NOT SAFE in the fridge unless you specifically say not to finish it! I call dibs on the toffee hehe :D

I told them that it's going to be one of their last hampers since they have both retired, so they better savor it. This gift basket was sent to my family as a token of appreciation (business wise) but it means much more than just a successful project to us. We honestly believe in the capabilities of this person and she showed us how right we were.


And of course, a little something extra just for ME. Thank you! You really didn't have to but I'm glad you got me something. I will try to forget that it was "free" but instead you got it cause you love me.

It smells lovely. But you know what would smell lovelier? The buttery leather scent of a Jumbo Chanel *inhales deeply* I'll be waiting! :D

Rejected items from my sister's luggage cause she's saving space. Happy that I received freebies but sad that she's leaving already :C 3 months went by so fast! Kitty (our latest pet name for each other, we have many), don't go Kitty!

Sleepy Saturday..

.. took a nap but I think I'm feeling even more sluggish now.

Dropped by the temple early this morn, met up with a cousin who gave me a belated gift, lunch at home.. cleaning up my room cause we have a special guest dropping by later, and I'm also packing the remaining things for my upcoming trip.



A lovely lip colour and this lotion I got off my sis while she was cleaning up. Yayy! I'm a sucker for freebies (:

I am always too excited and can rarely sleep the night before I fly so I sure hope I manage to catch some zzz tonight. Don't wanna arrive looking all tired and haggard.

Got this back in Sept 2010 as an early Christmas/birthday present but it's still sitting  pretty in the box.

Dreams really do come true. All you have to do is list them out, ask and the Universe will take care of it. But becareful with what you ask for- you might just get it. I've learnt to be very very careful with what thoughts I put out.
