May/June Beauty Buys

I can step away from lipsticks, blushers and eyeshadows but not CHANEL polishes.

Picked up all 3 from the latest Summer 2013 collection; Lilis, Bel-Argus and Azure; Taboo which just arrived and Quartz which I passed from a few seasons ago.

Taboo is beautiful! Looks darker once applied but still beautiful (please Google for more pictures).

As predicted earlier this month, my current shampoo bottle is coming close to empty so I picked up the L'occitane Volumizing Shampoo and one of the shower gels from the new "Collection de Grasse". Vanille & Narcisse is not the usual blend of overpowering warm vanilla but actually has a fresh scent to it. Am looking to get the Jasmin & Bergamote as well as Magnolia & Mure next.

I also purchased a backup serum from CLARINS which I really like, as well as the highly-raved Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector. Smells delicious!

I've been eyeing this sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser twinpack for ages at my local grocery store but finally bought it last weekend when I noticed there was only ONE left on the shelf. I'm not exactly running out of cleansers but I was planning to repurchase this when I do- it expires in 2015, so I might as well.

Next beauty purchase would probably be the CHANEL Les Beiges Powder- tested it out over the counters and it is sooooo silky smooth!

  2. What a haul! Those are my favorite nail polishes, especially Taboo is sent from heaven for us purple lovers. I use my Les Beiges powder for setting up my foundation. Although the effect is very subtle, I like it. I got the one which is matching to my skin color but if you get one darker, probably it is better to provide some warmth to the skin.

    1. Just a tiny one :D Taboo is exactly what I expected Vendetta to be! Would you have any base/top coats to recommend? Am planning to use the Les Beiges to set my face as well so I would probably get it in the matching colour.. are you a 10 or 20?

    2. I am usually wearing B20 in Chanel range so I got 20 from Les Beiges. Now I will tell the shocking truth, I don't use base coats with my nail polishes :-))) I am way too lazy and inpatient (I hate waiting even longer) but I use Seche Vite for top coat and I like it if it is not too thick, so I always purchase one with thinner and thin it a little.
