Project365: Day #20 - 27

Thursday: I like trying new snacks! Though I do try to restrict my junk intake. These two don't get any love- all I tasted was Seaweed and Wasabi.

Friday: Online shopping brings me joy! I love ripping em open and getting giddy with excitement over what's inside.

Saturday: A lot of people have qualms over buying something 'vintage' or 'pre-loved'. I don't. Infact, I haven't been to a good Vintage sale since I left Melb. The Chic Pop Bazaar at Jaya One offered heaps of great items- too bad if you missed it!

Sunday: VV hosted a sleepover- she had 7 girls over, including herself. At this age it is SO RARE to get all of us for dinner together let alone at a sleepover. Prior to this year, we have all been scattered all over the world..

Monday: Had a day off and celebrated my birthday early with family. I like my steaks red and bloody. Gyu tataki.. mMmmm

Tuesday: Happy Birthday to Me! Had so much cake from my sis and friends that I still have leftover in the fridge today (Thurs).

Wednesday: Know what grinds my gears? Drivers/Motorists who don't have working rear lights. Do they have any idea how dangerous that is? Btw, I took this pic when the car was stationary. Note how all other cars have their brake lights on.

Thursday (today): Japanese/Taiwanese/Chinese mags are great way to unwind for the day. I cant read Chinese but I buy them for the pictures and gifts.

Been slacking with my daily posts, I need to update pics for Project365 more regularly!

Dreams really do come true. All you have to do is list them out, ask and the Universe will take care of it. But becareful with what you ask for- you might just get it. I've learnt to be very very careful with what thoughts I put out. The law of Attraction. Thank you everyone for your sweet thoughts, gifts and little gestures of LOVE I truly appreciate everything. Right down to the Birthday song you guys sang (loudly) *melts*. Proper Dinner with the GROUP soon. Everyone's busy rushing off work before the long holidays. Garibaldi this Friday, popping Roy's Foie Gras cherry on Saturday! :D

25 ♥ TWENTY FIVE ♥ 25

I turn 25 today.

25, on the 25th of January.

I feel so blessed with what I have in my life right now.

Age is just a number- I will learn how to age gracefully in time to come.

For now, I will be super diligent with my skincare routine.

Thank you to everyone who loves me for me.

Happy 5th 21st birthday to Me!

Crabtree & Evelyn Summer Hill Body Lotion Review

Photobucket
Crabtree & Evelyn

What is it?
Summer Hill -scented- Body Lotion, 30ml bottle (was in a gift set)

Claims? (from website)
Our light silky formula with milk proteins, linden flower, mallow and honey absorbs quickly to soothe, moisturize and condition your skin.

How to use it?
Apply liberally all over your hands and body after shower. Since I am using this in the office, I reapply everytime after I wash my hands.

Things to note?
This lotion has a pretty strong floral scent. It's like a bouquet of lilies mixed with wild flowers or something. Not that I know what wild flowers smell like. Pleasant but too strong for my liking- I feel like I'm developing a migraine.

My review:
I received this in a gift set, smells expensive and the texture is light but not runny. It absorbs rather quickly without any greasy feel too. It left my hands feeling soft, but the scent gets to me a little. Perhaps I will use this on my legs instead so I don't have to deal with the smell. My hands and arms feel smooth to the touch but if I wash my hands (even after few hours of application) it turns slightly sticky and slimey under the running water- it is as if the cream created a film or layer over my skin? It washes off easy tho. Some people might like it cause it creates a "barrier" to lock in moisture but I just feel like it was never absorbed into my skin, instead it was just sitting atop it. Me no likey.

Conclusion: No go for me. Even Nivea does it better.

Project365: Day #19

Green Tea Frappucino. Possibly the only drink I have at Starbucks. I found out two things while here today- that it has become a place to hit up girls and that I can no longer finish a Venti Frappucino without getting my tummy upset. Today feels like a Saturday because my whole family came to pick me up after work and we did a little shopping in KLCC ♥

Project365: Day #15~18

Saturday, Sukiyaki with the best company in the world. I am glad that Jargs gets along so well with my sis and vice versa. No awkward moments at all. Love you girls to death.

Sunday, wasn't having a good day and JagiBOY allowed me to get this huge as tub of Cookie Dough (my fave!) flavoured ice cream. You prolly can't tell but its the size of my face. Feel like having some now.. What jargs says is true- it doesn't take much to make us smile again. Good food always does the trick (:

Monday, my first early night in possibly since I started working.

Tuesday, took a stroll around the lake where I live. I have been back for almost 2 years but i have NEVER circled the lake. Nothing lasts forever, I should appreciate it before it is all gone.

It's another early night in for me, gotta catch up on my sleep. Good night!

I like to SPOON

Yes, I do.

At SPOON, Mid Valley, just next to Delicious. I enjoyed it so much I had two serves!

The shop has been open for almost two weeks but I finallllllly had my fix last night after work.

Testing out the flavours available- Original, Raspberry and Green Tea, while the sisters discuss how they plan to make me their guinea pig for new flavors. Har har :D I would happily oblige.

They have Premium toppings such as chocolate caviar, brownie bits and many more..
My fave mix of the moment? Original froyo with their Signature granola and Oreo bits. YinYen makes the granola almost on the daily and she's a real good cook! I know cause I used to gobble up everything she made when I lived with YC in Melb. Yumm.

The granola is a hit with everyone, I had to stop Meimei from attacking (from my second serve) and after that, I even went and did a "could I please have some more.." at YC for more granola to finish my yoghurt. Shameless, i know.
SPOON kicks TuttiFruitti's ass anytime. I used to frequent TF quite a bit and tastewise, its totally different. TF is 'icy' where I can feel the frozen water bits in their froyo but with SPOON, its smooth spooning ALL the way! So SPOON wins in terms of taste, texture and toppings.

SPOON even has a menu for you fickle peeps who can't decide on which toppings you want.
A bit more expensive than TF buy hey, you get what you pay for, right?

Good stuff! Now if only they opened one closer to home :D

I am rarely at Mid Valley or Gardens but it yesterday was the first day of SALE where I work and all of us office robots have to all help out on the selling floor. Well it is a nice break from sitting on my ass working on schedules, photoshoots, modelshoots, casting, fashion meetings, reading mags, looking at advertisements, production of materials.. Okay who am I kidding, my job is pretty good (: but still it's a nice change- albeit a little boring when it's quiet.
I get to dress up/down at work and I dont mean the typical formal skirt suits where you only rotate the collared shirt daily with neat hair. Here's what I wore:
Leopard top: Supre
Bodycon skirt: F21
Stirrup leggings: DDH
Heart ring: Diva
Suhali double leather bracelet: Louis Vuitton

SALE is on every.friggin.where.I.turn. How do I save for my trips?!??
Bag? Trip? Bag? Trip? Make-Up?

Grrr...

Project365: Day #14

This came into my inheritance tonight.

It's one of those things I've always wanted but didn't include in my MateriaList because I know i probably wouldn't use it much. I gravitate away from things which require me to fork out even more money to use it.. but this deal was too good to pass up. My little sister decided to get the newer Fujifilm Instax- mini 25 Hello Kitty so she sold me her old 7s for a little more than a pair of shoes.

SCORE!! I love it!! I bought the film even before getting the camera (long story). I have a whole box of memories captured by my sis, and now I can add to my collection. Thanks meimei!!

Project365: Day #13

For dinner today, I made a simple Spicy Tuna ricebowl for JagiBOY and I had Spicy Tuna handrolls.

So simple to make and very tasty too.

Cooking and preparing food is therapeutic for me and I love my own cooking. My sister says I'm not allowed to say stuff like that; but it's true! Only I know how I want my food to taste and it gives me great pleasure, not to mention a sense of achievement when I manage to create the taste I imagined.

At the risk of sounding full of myself, I actually crave for my own food sometimes- beef stew, roast lamb, tomato beef fried rice, peach crumble, chicken macaroni bake.. mmMmm the list goes on.

I really enjoy cooking and baking but the cleaning up part, not so much.

I'll leave you guys with this simple recipe fr Spicy Tuna rolls/bowls:
You will need- 1. a chunk of raw tuna (make sure it is red and fresh) or even salmon, 2. Japanese mayo, 3. Chilli flakes (get the Japanese kind which comes in a little bottle) and 4. A little bit of sesame oil.

Dice the raw fish into tiny cubes and place it in a bowl. Add in mayo, start with a tablespoon and then add as much or as little as you like. If you like it spicy, add heaps of chilli flakes- the level of spiciness is really up to you. Finish with a dash or two of sesame oil to taste and mix it all up with chopsticks (I find it easier to use than a fork cause it doesn't stick).

Roll it up with some rice and seaweed or just place it atop a bowl of rice as above. Slice some cucumbers or avocado and you're good to go!

You can also add ebiko or tobiko for a little crunch. I finished mine with some shredded seaweed and tamago. Enjoy!

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Review!

Product #1:

Etude House

What is it?
Moistfull Collagen Emulsion

Claims? (from website)
Moist and rich textured facial emulsion supplies penetrating moisture and collagen treatment to improve complexion health and look. Active Ingredient Baobab Tree Extract and Collagen combination improves dermal structure and moisture retention

How to use it?
Cleanser > Toner > Emulsion > Serum (if any) > Moisturizer

Things to note?
Slightly scented sticky milky texture, but absorbs into skin well.

My review:
An emulsion is meant to prep your skin for whichever serum you may be using so that absorption is better- but people with oily skin usually just use it as a light moisturizer instead. I have combination skin and sometimes I use an emulsion, sometimes I don't depending on how my face feels. I received a good sized sample of this product and used it on my face, the remaining on my arms and legs.
As I got dressed for work this morning, I couldn't help but notice how smooth my arms were! My face felt the same though. I have sensitive skin but this product did not make me itch nor did it cause me to break out ♥. I love it (on my body)! I would probably repurchase it as a BODY lotion when my stash runs out.

Product #2:
Retails at MYR50+, Etude House
What is it?
Moistfull Collagen Essential Massage, 200ml tub

Claims? (from website)
It is a hydrating moisture facial pack with a rich gel texture that lifts and tightens complexion to promote a radiant glow.

How to use it?
1. Cleanser > Face Scrub > Mask (leave on 5-10 mins) > Toner > Serum > Moisturizer
2. Cleanser > Toner > Serum > Moisturizer > Sleeping Mask
3. As a massage gel for your face or body after shower, then rinse off.

Things to note?
Firm-ish gel texture which you can dig into, heavily scented but I love the scent!

My review:
I actually got this last April, and have used this as a Mask and also Sleeping Mask but I there weren't any noticable differences the next day. Just left my face slightly softer and more supple? But then again, I didn't experience any major improvement with Laneige's Sleeping Mask either- so maybe it's just my skin. No breakouts or itchiness experienced but be warned, the scent is quite overpowering and not everyone would like it. It is a pretty big tub and I am left with so much. I have been using it as a Sleeping Mask for my arms hopefully I would be able to finish this by June/July. For the price, it really is value for money.

Conclusion: ♥  the scent, but would only repurchase the Emulsion.
